We are ready to burst at the seams with excitement at AllFreeKnitting - want to know why? We got to ogle, touch and knit with brand new yarn from Feza Yarns! Have you heard of Feza Yarns before? If not, you should look them up because they make incredibly stunning novelty yarns! My current favorite is their Alp Natural Yarn line, which we were privileged enough to review here in the office. The picture below shows some of the new colors, but there are so many others on the site. There are more pinks, purples and blues – basically any color you would want to get your hands on for summer knitting!
Excited to learn more about this beautiful yarn? Let’s start with the basics: What is novelty yarn? Novelty yarn is usually handspun yarn that features unique fiber composition: the wool might be a little thicker in certain areas, there may be a sudden flash of metallic thread in other parts of the skein, or the yarn could feature unusual materials like silk or ribbon. But no matter what the yarn is composed of, novelty yarns all promise this: you’ll be able to make a beautiful garment that will be different from anything your friends create. Isn’t this yarn gorgeous?
Because Alp Natural yarn is composed of 10% linen, 10% silk, 40% cotton and 40% viscose, no matter what you decide to make with it, the end result will be a unique reflection of your personality. There are so many gorgeous textures in this yarn, that the possibilities for creation are truly endless. While you’ll probably feel inspired to make up your own luxurious pattern once you see and feel this yarn for yourself!
Want to win this yarn? 5 lucky people will win two skeins each of Alp Natural yarn! You read that right, we’re choosing FIVE winners this time! You can enter to win right here! Enter today to win some Alp Natural yarn! Giveaway ends May 10, 2012.
