I’ve been playing with the idea of weaving with my crochet designs lately. I was at a store where someone was selling an afghan that looked extremely interesting and artistic.
I realized that they had created a woven effect that was actually very simple. I designed a bathroom mat using the concepts I had seen. Of course, I wrote down my design, Weaved Afghan & Mat, so that others could do something different too.
Essentially, it is just double crochet with strands woven through. I provided a free video with my link above for you to follow so that you can get started right away.
It’s nice to do different things sometimes. This is one of those projects that will give you a break from the traditional pattern.
