What is your favorite fiber animal and why?

There are several animals where fiber can come from: sheep, bison, alpaca, rabbit. Each is cute in it’s own way. What’s your favorite animal out of the bunch? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts. You could be the lucky winner of a crafty prize!

  1. I’ve never tried bison or rabbit before, and wool (sheep) is nice but I love the feel of alpaca!

  2. knittingdancer on Ravelry says:

I like the softness of baby alpaca.

  3. love all fiber yarn, but musk ox is my favorite, and not just because windy valley musk ox farms is just up the road! quviut is so soft and warm and so easy to work with …. and now that it comes in colors, so much nicer!

  4. I have never tried bison or ox, sounds interesting. My favorite is alpaca

  5. I have only tried wool but quviut from the musk ox is so soft and warm that I would love to work with it. Unfortunately, it is a little out of my price range right now.

  6. My first choice would be alpaca; but, I also love any type of wool the softer the better.

  7. I love alpaca, and recently I just got some angora rabbit which is wonderful!
