My skill level is intermediate on afghans and beginer on Hats and baby sweaters. It’s dumb on things like animals LOL
My skill level in crocheting is intermediate to experience to advance… It depends on the pattern.
I love to crochet Barbie clothes for my Grandaughter and dresses for her. So I am medium to intermediate
I would say at least intermediate. I have looked over patterns that are advanced, and I think I could make them too. I love a challenge. It keeps my creativity going…
Not absolutely sure, but I think it is Intermediate. I can work up just about any pattern but don’t enjoy it if it is too tedious.
Im a advanced beginner at crochet but still trying to get my fingers to knit im haveing a hard time..this summer I will master it IHOPE im having surgery on my left hand so many unfinshed work all over my home
I think my experience is intermediate….depends on the pattern of crocheting. Somedays my brain just does not comprehend the pattern….but for the most part I try all patterns.
My skill level is intermediate in knitting and advanced in crochet.
My skill level in crochet is intermediate to experienced. I love making stuffed animals but need lots of practice with the faces.
My crochet skill is beginner to intermediate. I’ve taught myself to patterns after someone taught me the basics.
My skill level is advanced…I taught myself to knit and crochet due to being left-handed.
I would say my level is advanced beginner to intermediate. I only taught myself how to read patterns a year ago. Before that someone just looked over my shoulder and told me what to do!!
I’d say my crocheting level is “advanced” – mostly because I’ve recently fallen in love with Japanese doily patterns.
My skill level is intermediate only because I keep pushing to learn new stitches.
intermediate i suppose….lol
I’m an expérience crocheter and knitter, but I’m better with à crochet(almost an expert). I Still have new things to learn
i think my skill level is beginner to intermediate. I have found that the differences in instructions make a big difference on my skill level. Some are better and easier to understand.
In knitting I’m beginner to intermediate and in crochet beginner.
I am an expert crocheter. Self taught at age ten-been crocheting for 41 years. Yikes, I’m OLD!
I am an advanced beginner
I have been crocheting for close to 40 yrs. now and for all the things I’ve made and the tons of Hrs I’ve spent doing something I totally love. up to 30+hrs a week I still have to say I would never consider myself a pro by any means. just contently advanced.
I believe I am at skill level intermediate in crochet. I have not yet tried any advanced patterns. But I am always looking forward to a challenge!
I would consider my self to be an intermediate hooker, I always enjoy a new pattern or learning a new stitch.
Hi!
i know I can’t win the price because I’m not in the US or Canada… but anyway, I like the blog and the questions…
My level is intermediate and improving, I’m permanently looking for new challenging, hard patterns to try!!
I think I am an experinced in both knitting and crocheting. The more complicated the pattern the more I like it.
I am an advanced beginner as well. I can do some intermediate patterns, There are many stitches I don’t know how to do, though.
Im a total beginner and loving how much I’ve learned so far.
Intermediate in crochet
Beginnger in knitting
I consider my self an intermediate to advance crocheter.
My experience level is advanced. Even if it is a technique I have never done before, I can have it mastered in a short period of time. I crochet to keep my hands busy and don’t make plans to give what I am making to anyone in particular. I create for the love of the craft and when a project is finished I let it find it’s own home.
Would not call myself an “expert” crocheter by any means, but definitely “advanced” as I am now designing my own patterns. Love to crochet! I am left-handed and have been crocheting for over 35 years! I have even taught a couple right-handed people to crochet.
Never did catch on to knitting but have been crocheting for over 40 years. I would consider myself advanced but friends and family would probably say expert, lol.
I would say intermediate – I knit and crochet for enjoyment – my LOVE is making Afghans – and Prayer Shawls for those in need.
Barb
Crochet….experienced but I love to try advanced things to push myself into new things.
I’m an advanced crocheter, high-intermediate knitter. A pattern has to hold my interest, and even then, I’m likely to tweak it ‘to eleven’.
I feel my skill level for crocheting is Advanced; but, my skill level for knitting is intermediate. I crochet more than I knit, but I totally love both.
i am not good at classifying my skills…
i do not yet make my own patterns, but after using one i very often “adjust” it a bit to make it my own… so whatever that makes me.
I think my knitting skill is intermediate.
My experience level in Knitting and crochet would be intermediate. I have done lace shawls but no sweaters that would fit! Just wish I had more time to practice.
I believe I am an advanced beginner in crocheting. I usually pick the intermediate patterns, but get stuck sometimes and use the video (if available) to “un-stick me”. LOL
I’ve been crocheting for 47 years, I started when I was 5. I guess that is considered expert. I have taught classes for the local community college, and friends who want to learn. It seems as though I have to have a project going all the time. It is my stress relief and obsession…..lol
Depending on project, intermediate
I’d say my skill level in knitting and crocheting is moderate to advanced, just because I’ve been doing it for at least 45 years.
I would say my skill level is advanced
I teach left and right handed students and design my own patterns
I <3 crochet
My skill level is advanced in crochet and beginner in knitting. I like to knit but the speed of crochet pleases me even more.
I am advanced in crocheting, it is mainly how the pattern is written, (could not be my brain…lol) beginner in kniting, knitting still scares me!
I would consider my level to be intermediate for both knitting & crocheting.
for both crochet and knitting I’m at the intermediate level…
after 66 years of knitting and crocheting, i’d say my skill level is back down to intermediate … i’m forgetting little how-to’s and don’t ‘fix’ patterns to often any more.
Re-beginner! I’m just beginning to knit again after 25 or so years, I’m delighted at how much I do remember!
I’d have to say on knitting I’m a beginner since my mom is no longer able to sit next to me and tell me how to do it. On crocheting, I’m intermediate working on experienced. I like writing my own patterns as well, at the very least altering the ones that exist.
Knitting: I would say it is intermediate, I can do 4 needle socks as well as baby sweaters, adult sweaters, afghans, etc. Crochet, maybe you would say advanced on doilies, afghans, etc but not quite that good on gloves and mittens.Presently I am making baby afghans for the OB ward at our hospital, so far since July have made 125 and given to them, I want every new baby to have one to go home with.
I consider my crochet skills to be at an intermediate level. Now knitting, that’s an entirely different matter – I just have not been able to get the hang of working with 2 needles. That would make my knitting skills non-existent!
My skill level is beginner for knitting, although I am working toward improving that. I am more of an experienced crocheting and love the challenge of a new technique.
I am intermediate in both knitting and crocheting.
I’d say that with the completion of my first sock, I have graduated from novice, to level 1 intermediate
My crochet skill level is intermediate to advanced. I love to crochet lacy doilies. Eventually I hope to crochet miniature doilies and table clothes with size 16 hook on 100 weight thread. I am gradually working my way down through the sizes. I usually have intermediate skill for knitting depending on the pattern.
My skill level at crocheting is new beginner and I really mean “new”, but I hope to get better at it. For me crocheting is a very relaxing hobby. My problem is time…not enough!
I’ve been crocheting for 4 years and loving it daily. I guess I am an Intermediate crocheter because I’ve made doilies with crochet thread … along with the usual afghans, dishcloths, hats, scarves. A few days ago I crocheted my first pair of Baby Booties!
I would guess that depending on the pattern… I have grown from a beginner level to a medium level. thanks!
Knitting is my passion – I feel that I am intermediate to advanced depending on the pattern. I have been crocheting almost all my life – so I am advanced in crochet. Love yarns – all colors and textures
I would have to say intermediate. I have only been crocheting for a couple of years and self taught with books and YouTube videos. I love doing amigurimi and like trying new stitches. I also like working on afghans and am trying to create my own design. Lately I am trying my hand at filet crochet. I also want to learn how to do tunisian crochet.
Starting crocheting after about 40 year hiatus. Don;t know how I did those tiny stitches years ago. My passion is making items for our fighting troops and our Wounded Warriors.
After all theses years I am ashamed to say I am still a beginner but I keep trying.
My experience in crochet is advanced as I love to design my own afghan patterns with the use of different stitches and techniques. I majored in free-form crochet in college but now that I am OLD (58) I steer more towards the use of my hands as a gift to give to those in need making many things for the needy such as prayer shawls, preemie clothing, chemo hats, and blankets for nursing homes and the homeless. I find that much more satisfying than making money from this wonderful art.
When I was nine I knitted a scarf just like the patterns I see today where one side goes through a loop in the other side. I love color and texture. I love all of the new yarns they have today. I still have a lot to learn but the most fun I have is picking up either a hook, that I have made myself or a pair of needles, then the yarn, the stitch, and make it up as I go along. Right now I am making what I call Florida shawls. They all are lacy
I crochet and I would say I’m around intermediate. Depending on the pattern. I have been crocheting for about 27 years. Have a great day everyone!
I consider myself advanced for crochet and beginner for knitting. I learned to crochet when I was about 5 by watching my great grandma. A nice cup of tea and crocheting brings back some of my best memories of the most special woman in my life! A few years ago I taught myself how to read patterns and have expanded my list of projects. I like to make small projects, no larger than a baby blanket, I like instant gratification. I crochet baby items for my favorite charity, Newborns In Need, Inc. I like to make gifts for friends and family so I am always trying new patterns for hats, scarves, and stuff for the kitchen. I have knitted a couple of scarves and dishcloths, very basic. I prefer to crochet over knitting but I wouldn’t pass up any opportunity to work on a project
My skill level for crocheting is a very high intermediate. I do enjoy crocheting and have been doing so now for 20 plus years. There are some new crochet techniques that I want to try that I am looking into.
I am a beginner/intermediate on knitting projects depending on what it is. I am a beginner at crocheting trying to be an intermediate. I really want to be good at both so that I can do whatever is best for the project I want to complete.
I would have to say I am expert level in crocheting and close to that in knitting. Love them both!
My skill level depends: if someone shows me I can do the knitting or crocheting…if I have to interpret the instructions I’m a fumbler!
I am intermediate to experienced. I love making sweaters and socks for myself and family.
I crochet, and I am closer to intermediate, but in some cases still on an easy level. However, working my way up one stitch at a time!
I would probably be an intermediate crocheter, but I love easy patterns and sometimes I can tackle the advanced patterns.
I am advanced when it comes to patterns as I love complex doily patterns done with thread. I bore easily if any pattern is too simple. I’ve been crocheting for about 45 years now (oh, good grief!). However, I believe I would be intermediate with clothing as I have done little crochet which requires a correct gauge. But I’m working on it!
I would say my level is beginner. I am not too good at reading the crochet patterns. I like to go on youtube and watch how how to make things. It seems easier that way.I am not too good at knitting.
Am absolute beginner. Have learned the chain stitch watching YTube. That is as far as I have gotten.
I am an advanced knitter and an advanced crocheter. I love both and always have one or two projects of each going at any given time.
I can knit or crochet any intermediate to advanced afghan pattern but to made any clothing besides scarves and baby booties, I haven’t been able to make anything wearable!
crochet patterns intermediate and easy knitting pattern intermediate and easy
I am a self-taught crochet beginner. I’ve just done scarves. I think I am almost an intermediate knitter. I’m knitting my third sweater and learning all the time. I wish I could crochet as well as my mom did. She used to make wedding hankies crocheting what she called wedding ring lace. They were beautiful.
I am advanced in crocheting, and love anything having to do with babies, however when it comes to knitting, knit and purl, and 2 needles or a circular one are all I have mastered.
I would say that “have yet to meet a pattern I couldn’t tackle” level;)
Crochet is intermediate to advanced. I haven’t been knitting very long so I’m probably a beginner, but I seem to have no fear in trying new techniques (fair isle, lace)
Am going to say that all my crochet and knit is fresh and new, but have been doing them all my life,(68 years young) The reason is that I am always learning new things and ways to do my craft.
I have been crocheting since I was a little girl. I was taught by my mother and grandmother. My grandmother taught me to knit also, but I stopped doing it for about 25 years, so I consider myself a beginner in knitting, but I am advanced at crochet, which is my love.
I feel comfortable saying that I am an intermediate to advanced crocheter. Started about 7 years ago after a breast cancer diagnosis. While undergoing radiation, I decided I needed a hobby and I have been crocheting ever since. I love crochet!I won 1st Place last year in the California State Fair for a Silk Mohair Baby layette with blanket, my proudest crochet moment!
My skill level is beginner to intermediate. Although I’ve been crocheting since I was a child, I don’t have a lot of time to practice.
Dang – I THOUGHT I was advanced. But I took a stab at a gorgeous fancy sweater and was totally stumped on how to proceed. I’m gonna blame the pattern…
I am maybe an advanced beginner in crochet and very much a beginner in knitting. I just started both late last summer. I seemed able to pick up crochet much easier than knitting. I don’t have anyone I know who lives near me and does either so have learned from books, the internet and one 1 hour class I had to drive 2 hours each way to take so I’m pleased with what I have accomplished.
Hi, mine is between beginner creeping to intermediate so i guess i’m a beginner intermediate. sound’s good to me. well i guess not i just read a beginning intermediate is on her 3rd sweater ok then on hats lol
I start planning Christmas gifts. I’ll do a few shower gifts in the summer for babies and then pull out my Christmas projects
