Earth Day may have just passed, but that’s no reason to stop being green! It’s important to reduce, recycle, and reuse all year-round, which is just one of the reasons we love this yarn so much. This gorgeous yarn is made from recycled vintage silk sari pieces. If you like crafting with up-cycled pieces, then this yarn is right up your alley!
To make this yarn, vintage saris are hand torn by women in fair trades co-ops to widths of about a quarter inch, and then sewn together end-to-end. This yarn is available in a wide variety of beautiful colors. Although it may appear delicate, it is really quite durable. It can be used to crochet or knit anything from afghans to bags and rugs!
The winner of this giveaway will receive 4 skeins of Recycled Silk Sari Ribbon Yarn from Darn Good Yarn. If you like crafting with up-cycled pieces, then this yarn is right up your alley!

They are all so beautiful but the one that caught my eye is the turquoise.
They are all pretty but I would have to say the second from the right (the brighter blues) is my favorite skein! It was close between that one and the purples. What a great give-away!
They all catch my eye, but the green is my favorite
The purple one is my favorite color. A close 2nd is the dark blue one.
they all are beautyfull but i think the green one is my choice
Beautiful yarn. .
All look yummy but the purple is my go-to color..
2nd from the left Blue
I love all of them but I would have to say the purple is best
The combination of all four colors knit into one garment would be the most beautiful-alone I would pick the far left skein.
I love the idea of using recycled materials to make yarn! The colors are all so bright and cheery….but the turquoise (2nd from the left) is the one that catches my eye!
