Hi All! I’m Christine, the Editorial Community Manager and editor for AllFreeCrochet.com. I was born in Florida, but quickly moved to the suburbs of Illinois where I was raised. I come from a large family of all girls who are all married with kids of their own. I’m lucky to say, I am currently expecting my very first as well! I’m due the end of August. Don’t be fooled by my picture, I look a lot younger than I am.
A little background about myself? Let’s see. I graduated college with a degree in Journalism and Sociology where I learned how to break out of my comfort zone. This doesn’t mean I’m now comfortable with flying because I can tell you I am still petrified. My crafting skills have grown since joining the Prime family. Because I work on AllFreeCrochet, I quickly learned how to crochet and I don’t know why I never picked up the skill earlier. Every time I finish a new project it’s such a great sense of accomplishment and there are just so many free crochet patterns to choose from. Of course I have my eye on baby patterns at the moment, but I also managed to make a ton of scarves and cowls during the winter, along with an afghan or two.
When I’m not crafting (or nesting at the moment), I like to spend my time with friends and family. They mean the world to me and the older I get, the more I realize how precious life is. If I find a good book I can certainly dive into the series and occupy myself for a few days. I’ve also learned that I love working with tissue paper and turning it into beautiful crafts.
