Alright yarn hoarders, it’s that time of year again…spring cleaning! Readers loved the patterns from last month that helped clean out their yarn stash. Crochet Lace Patterns
These were a huge hit last month with crocheters. It’s definitely time to ditch the heavy yarn and pick up some lightweight yarn instead. Recently we updated one of our collections, 20 Lace Crochet Designs for Afghans, and these patterns are sure to be well loved this spring. I know that during the spring and summer seasons, I’m always reaching for a blanket for those chilly nights – or for when the air conditioning is just a little too cold and I need something light to wrap up with.
Crochet Baby Blankets
Spring seems to be the time for baby showers so crocheters are getting ready by starting to crochet some of our baby blankets. These patterns are great to crochet for charity too since they are smaller projects. I love the Forget Me Not Baby Blanket. This crochet baby blanket isn’t just a typical granny square blanket – by connecting four of the granny squares into blocks and then crocheting a border around each block, it breaks up the design nicely.
Granny Square Crochet Patterns
February’s favorite granny squares ended up being more intricate and unique. The 16 Circles Square is a one-of-a-kind design. Each circle is crocheted into the square starting in the middle and crocheting outward. The pattern is helpful with picture tutorials and easy color changing techniques.
