Socks….because I LOVE them! They travel well and are to fast of a knit=)
Slippers because everyone gets cold feet!
shawls…love shawls and am making them for all my friends. one shawl is just about done; i’ll break my rule of one make per pattern that i’ve used all these years all my handwork – no repeats – but will make another, i love it so.
Hats; because almost everyone likes to wear hats, they are easy and quick to make and they make great gifts.
If I could only knit one project, it would be a gorgeous sweater in amazing yarn that fits perfectly. That is a dream of mine because I’m afraid to start a sweater. It takes me a long time to finish even a scarf and I worry that after the final assembly the sweater would be ugly and not worth the effort. So a perfect, gorgeous sweater is my dream. I know, Iknow–practice makes perfect
I’d have to say afghan squares. They’re portable, you can use any stitch and use them to learn new techniques.
Bags, because they’re useful and you can make them as unique as you!
Dishcloths because everyone can use a dishcloth. You can try out new stitches and make something useful at the same time.
I would knit a wool tote then felt it. I love the way the knit turns into a dense fabric making it a sturdy tote bag.
It would be the hats I make for the homeless. Anything else that I would normally make for myself, family or friends, we could afford to buy instead, so I’d want to keep knitting for those who can’t afford anything.
I love crocheting snowflakes and doilies–so many different types!
Crocheting baby blankets of all types. They work up fast, don’t require a lot of yarn and I love the lacy effects you can get, say for christenings, as well as all the color and design possibilities…the more whimsical, the better.
I like to make gifts for expecting moms. I especially like to make them in toddler sizes because people always give tiny sizes that they grow out of in a week. If I am going to put the time into it, I would rather the child get some time in it as well.
Dish cloths. I belong to an anonymous group and have been giving dishcloths to people who are getting their own apartments and starting all over from scratch. Small mission, but oh the joy it gives me!
It would haVe to be sock because not only do they travel extremely well, fit in small spaces but I now know the pattern by heart. I would love to win so thank you in advance
ripple afghans because they different and quite challenging.
